Castle SIROTČÍ HRAD (Rossenstein)
One of the dominants of the hills of Pavlov standing above the village Klentnice,north-west from Mikulov.
The castle got its name after the house of the Wehingen, feudalists of a Swabian origin,
one of the branches of which - the Sirotek - mooved from Austria to Moravia in the first half
of the 13th century. The ruins raise a very characteristic impression. The castle therefore waned most probably somewhen before the year 1590. A manuscipt from 1629 speaks about it being entirely deserted. The castle was built on two rugged crags devided by a gulch from which there
is an acccess into a karst cave. The major part of the castle rested on the south crag.
A 2.5 m thick and 8 m high frontal wall with a window stayed preserved partially linked to the remnants of the tower with three window arches above one another.
